Net Casino Sucker Bets — Part 2

  • Progressive side bets: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker regularly have one of these. You normally place a bet (a dollar is the normal value) to try to win a bonus jackpot that could reach $25,000. Though huge jackpots like this are very alluring, they are also very hard to win. You might need to get a Royal Flush in order to win this bet. Also, think about this- you wager twenty hands and lay the side bet every time. That’s 20 dollars you should have used towards the real game wager in place of a sucker bet. Imagine what you might have been able to win at a bet with more favorable odds employing that twenty dollars.
  • Single number wagers in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just one. This shifts the overall casino advantage from two% with a single zero wheel to a whopping 5percent in American. The individual number wager has only a one in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets as a substitute which have a much lower casino advantage.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you bet on it, the house advantage can be a whopping twenty-five percent. Yes, that was not a typo. Due to the huge amount of numbers you must pick, it is not advisable to wager on Keno very much. A couple of times for entertainment, maybe. But do not spend all your money on it or you’ll immediately find yourself beaten.
